Kingman-Arthur MARTIN, 84, of rural Danville, Ill., and father of Eugene Martin, of Kingman, died Wednesday at Lake View Hospital at Danville. Also Surviving are another son, a daughter, a brother, two sisters, seven grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted at Pape Memorial Home at Danville at 1:30 p.m. Saturday with Rev. William Stotts officiating. Burial will b in Atherton Cemetery. KINGMAN - Funeral services for Arthur Henry Martin, age 84, a resident of Danville, Ill., Rt. 5, east of Union Corner, who died at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, in Lake View Memorial Hospital, were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Pape Memorial Home in Danville. He was the father of Eugene E. Martin of this community. The Rev. William Stotts officiated and burial was in Atherton Cemetery, south of Danville. Mr. Martin was born in Danville Oct. 11, 1883, the son of Chris and Mary Glindemeir Martin. His schooling was at the Union Corner School. He has lived on Danville Rt. 5 for 54 years and he had farmed until retiring in 1963. He was married June 6, 1911, in Decatur, Ill., to Minnie Margaret Kemna, who survives. Also surviving are: two sons, Eugene E. of Kingman and Robert K. of Paris, Ill.; one daughter, Mrs. Dale (Emelyn) Wilcoxen of Danville; one brother Ralph Martin of Danville; two sisters, Mrs. Estella Hughes and Mrs. Hazel Kleiner, both of Danville; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Mr. Martin was a member of the Union Corner Evangelical United Brethren Church and a former member of the Vermillion County Farm Bureau. He was a former member of the Union Corner Grade School Board. - jlr
